Rheological Measurement.
The zero-shear viscosities of
the polymers are obtained by measuring the shear viscosity
in the range (10-2-5 s-1) in steady-state mode. The polymers
used in this study show a Newtonian regime over the shear
rate of 10-2-10-1 s-1. The rheometer used is an Advanced
Rheometric Expansion System (ARES). A parallel plate configuration (diameter = 25 mm) is used with a gap of about 1.0
mm. The temperature for the measurement is 230
C. The
measured zero-shear viscosities of PA-6 and PS are 300 and
1200 Pa·s, respectively, and thus p = 0.25.
