The results from the 90 % RH exposure are sufficiently unexpected to warrant the development of a conceptual model to explain what could be happening within the microstructure to account for the behavior. The conceptual model developed here is built upon the Jennings colloidal model (JCM) [28]. Because the JCM is so important to the conceptual model, it will be described briefly.
