This section presents results of simulations made on the CA model and compares them to experimental measurements obtained on real cements. The simulations were performed on a variety of lattices sizes, varying from 64 x 64 x 64 for fast experimentation to 200 x 200 x 200 for the largest runs. A 128 x 128 x 128 system typically took 34h for complete hydration on a Sun Sparc 2 workstation*.
