STEP File Analyzer - Download Request Form

Use this form to request a free copy of the STEP File Analyzer.

The STEP File Analyzer generates an Excel spreadsheet from a STEP file. A worksheet is created for each type of entity where every row contains the attributes of an entity instance. Multiple STEP files can be analyzed at once to compare entity usage. There are options to select which types of entities are processed.

Validation Properties (Geometric, assembly, PMI, annotation, attribute, tessellated) can be reported on the Property_definition worksheet.

A report for PMI Presentation information can also be generated.

Documentation: User's Guide     Sample spreadsheet: STEP-File-Analyzer_stp.xlsx

The STEP File Analyzer runs on any Windows computer. Microsoft Excel is required to generate the spreadsheets.

After submitting the request you will be informed about downloading and installing the STEP File Analyzer. The information requested will be used solely to inform you of future updates or announcements. The information is not kept on computers that are accessible to the public and will not be distributed. For more information, see the NIST Privacy Statement.

We would appreciate it if each user requests their own copy of the STEP File Analyzer.
